Yalçın Özge Okat

As the founder of Okat Law Firm, Yalçın Özge Okat has been practicing capital markets, banking and finance law for almost three decades. He has been providing legal consultancy services in IPOs, cross-border financing transactions, ISDA transactions, financial services M&As, and various projects of publicly traded companies, domestic and foreign banks, brokerage houses, portfolio management companies, venture capital/real estate funds, other financial institutions, private equity firms and crypto asset service providers.

Y. Özge Okat worked at Pekin&Pekin Law Firm for 10 years between 2011-2021. He served as the Capital Markets Team Leader at Pekin&Pekin Law Firm for 6 years and he represented multinational banks and companies in cross-border projects and banking and capital markets transactions.

Y. Özge Okat, who previously worked at the Capital Markets Board until 2010, the last two years of which was in the chief expert staff, graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Law in 1996 and from Northwestern University School of Law and Kellogg School of Management Law and Business Administration graduate program in 2007.

Özge Okat is the co-author of the book "Principles of Capital Markets Law" (2021) (with Vural Günal) and "Mutual Funds in Turkish and EU Law" (2019), as well as several articles on public companies, housing finance instruments, mergers and acquisitions and investment funds.

He is registered to the Istanbul Bar Association.
